Your Midwife Team

Cassie Largaespada, LM CPM

“I am passionate about working with a mother (and family) during one of the most miraculous events of their life.  I believe that bringing a child into this world is a natural, beautiful moment.  I also believe that parents should be well-informed about their choices during pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum.  My goal is to do all that I can to partner with the parents in bringing forth their ideal birth experience.

I have birthed 4 children of my own and have different birth experiences with each one.  Out of all the environments that I have witnessed, assisted and managed births, home birth is the one that struck a cord with me. The intimacy and comfort of home birth is something magical."

As the founder of Teamwork Birthing, Cassie practiced as a doula for 10 years before pursuing her dream of becoming a midwife. She attended midwifery school at the Commonsense Childbirth School of Midwifery in Winter Garden, FL. After 3 years of school and internship, She became licensed as a midwife in the state of Florida in July of 2018.

"I believe it is an honor to assist families during the intimate process and celebration of bringing a new life into the world. I am happy to use my knowledge, skills, and experience in helping you make the best decision you see fit as you grow your family. When I am not working with new families I am at home with my 6 beautiful, loud and crazy children. It has been a privilege to participate in the growth of many central Florida families as a student midwife and birth assistant. In the Fall of 2018 I started my journey as a student midwife and after graduating, began working in July of 2021 alongside my sister Cassie."

Through her experience of becoming a young mother, infertility, adoption, and child loss, her passion to assist families was born. She believes it is an honor to assist families during the intimate process and celebration of bringing a new life into the world. She is excited to use her skills and experience, in helping you make the best decisions you see fit as you grow your family.

Embarking on this journey of midwifery has been more than a career choice, it’s been a calling deeply rooted in my soul. Passionate about empowering women through childbirth, I've dedicated the last 17+ years of my life to supporting families on their journey to parenthood.

My path in birth work began as a birth and postpartum doula in Puerto Rico, where I discovered my calling. Over the years, I've evolved into a childbirth educator, birth assistant, breastfeeding counselor, and La Leche League Leader, touching the lives of thousands of women and helping them achieve their birth goals. In 2014 I relocated to Florida and in 2020 I started my journey to become a licensed midwife at Commonsense Childbirth School of Midwifery. Each interaction, each birth, each postpartum has been a testament to the transformative power of really caring for our patients, supporting them and showing genuine compassion.

Midwifery found me during a time of personal healing, rescuing me from traumatic birth experiences and guiding me towards a path of helping others find peace and strength in childbirth. For these and many reasons, I will be forever grateful to the 400+ families who over the years have invited me into their birthing spaces.

Beyond the birthing room, you can find me cherishing moments with my own beautiful family—my loving husband and our four amazing children.

Joining Teamwork Birthing, a practice where every birth is celebrated, every mother is honored, and every family is cherished, fills me with a type of joy that is hard to describe with just words. Ready to embark on your journey to empowered childbirth? Let's connect and start this beautiful chapter together.
